你會列出那種的型號，代表你不太懂這裡的人要知道的 cpu 型號
如果真的不知道，你也許可以把伺服器的廠牌型號，或是所有包裝盒上看得到的型號都列上來。讓大家猜一猜。
我只是心裡一絲感覺，若是你拿 P4 3.2G 來裝 64bit OS，
我剛也有google一下，應該是裝不起來。

我是有 google 到 EM64 是在 intel 網站。只是我沒有仔細看
你倒是可以查看看 intel 哪些型號支援 EM64，再來考慮能不能裝。

P4 也是有可能支援 EM64T，而且我可能把EM64T與64bit OS的定義搞混了。所以，P4能不能裝64bit OS這句話就先忘記吧。呵呵。
我今天就先不搞這些了。
你也可以試著去找到你的 cpu 型號，來判斷是否可以使用 gentoo em64。
例如，我看到上面第二個連結中，有寫P4 90nm 3.73G 是支援 EM64T 的。3.2G~3.4G 不支援 EM64T。

如果要裝64bit的版本最好還是翻一下forum..印象中64bit上好像還是有些軟體無法很正常的運作。
我有prescott/duo，當初也是有想灌64bit，忘了是什麼問題想想還是灌32bit就好。

另外，我同意paar大的說法，genkernel能不用就盡量不要用。
Gentoo的ISO版本其實沒有太大的差異，除了支援的硬體跟某些預設套件的差別以外，再來就是預設的profile不同，
但是我想這應該是還好才對？
