突然發現我是個呆子，
都忘記你是要安裝了，
哈哈哈～

因為 gentoo 發布的更新（2004.x）是指 stage (GRP ,livecd 算在一起吧？) 和 portage ...等部份。

所以只要能開機和上網的 livecd 都能安裝。

不過你那個 cd 的問題我就不清楚了～

先把你要用的 stage[123] 的 tarball co 到硬碟上,
再用其它的光碟開機來安裝, 如 2004.1, gentoo 1.4-rc2, 甚至 knoppix 也好.
2004.2 和新版的不同僅在於裡面的stage tar ball 比較新, 開機畫面不一樣(你要這個東西嗎？), 和硬體偵測的能力不同罷了, 既然其它的光碟開得起來, 你就不必拘泥要用 2004.2 了吧?
不過你如果要用到 genkernel 那就是另一個話題了.
