編譯核心問題--模組沒讀到

我的Distribution是Gentoo 2005.0。
最近我想升級我的核心，編譯一個量身訂做的精簡核心。
我編的是linux-2.6.13-rc3，也不知道是不是我disable太多東西的緣故，
我編出來的核心可以正常進到login畫面。
但login後，lsmod發現『模組』幾乎都沒有載入！！

我確定我有把這項編入核心:
[y] Automatic kernel module loading

可是就是沒load到module。我也有製作mkinitrd。

login後是可以手動載入模組(modprobe)，但是這樣很麻煩，
我以前編譯核心也不會這樣。

請問怎麼辦？謝謝。
