問個centrino一代無線網路抓AP的問題
發表於 : 週二 11月 02, 2004 10:11 am1. 因為你用的是 centrino 一代 ,所以無線網卡通常是 Intel Pro/Wireless 2011 ~ 2100 3B 這類的卡 ,這些卡必須使用 ipw2100
2. 在 ipw2100.sf.net 及 ipw2200.sf.net 的網頁有說目前不支援 kernel source tree build ,雖然 tarball 裡有附 kernel patch ,但我實際 try 過之後 ,雖然可以 make modules 成功 ,但用 modprobe ipw2100 時 ,只會載入 ipw2100 及 ieee80211 這兩個 module ,如果有用 wep encrypt 的話 ,就無法 work 了 ,而且用 iwconfig 去 config essid 及 channel 時 ,的確會出現跟你同樣的錯誤訊息
3. 請直接用 ipw2100 source tarball 直接 make ,make install 就可以了
4. 記得要把 firmware 檔案放到 /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware (若是新版的 hotplug ,則是在 /lib/firmware ) 目錄下
PS. 我現在用的 wireless-tools 版本是 27_pre28[/code]
